The Bodystat 1500 MDD unit is a lightweight, handheld, battery operated Bio-impedance analyser which is easy to use and requires no specialist skills. It is a non-invasive devise, which measures the impedance vale of the body proving quick and effective analysis of the composition, rather than partial body analysis of arms or legs only, measured for greater accuracy. It works by passing a safe battery generated signal through the body and measures the impedance at two frequencies of 5khz and 50khzx
A complete body composition analysis is displayed comprising body fat, lean body mass, dry lean mass, total water and optimal ranges. Metabolic rates, waist/hip ratio, BMI, BFMI, and a Wellness Marker are also displayed on the LCD screen.
The raw data values are also shown: impedance at 5khz and 50khz, resistance, reactance and phase angle at 50khz.
In addition to the features of standard Bodystat 1500, the Bodystat 1500 MDD contains separate equations for children aged 6 years and over and adults. It also shows a calculation for dry lean mass, a number of health professionals find dry lean mass an invaluable tool for monitoring muscle wasting /growth.
